MESSAGE FROM FOUNDER

As a trader, one of the most important things to learn is to master sizing down. I follow many traders who try to add lots during high volatility markets or news releases to cover up some losses, but the reality is, you expose your capital to more risk, and that’s the real issue.

Maybe the first time you experience oversized, the impact can be positive, but you only need one trade oversized to go against your analysis to negatively affect your account and the progress you have made on your discipline

It feels addictive to add another position during a winning streak or just try to make extra money, but the darkness on the other side when you are losing an account is really what traders need to try to avoid. You have no idea how my trading changed when I stopped comparing myself to everyone and just stuck to my personal plan.

The goal is to be financially free, and sizing down is a secret key I always have in my pocket when I’m entering a trade. Every week, I have a certain amount of money I’m willing to lose, and I have a personal profit target that once I achieve, I close everything.

Sizing down is important to understand. It’s better to be wrong and lose a small percentage than to be wrong with a big percentage. You will feel more accomplished and work a lot faster to grow as a trader when you understand this fundamental element

SIZE UP VS SIZE DOWN

Boxing and trading share many similarities.  A fighter doesn't rush into the ring aiming for a knockout in the first minute. Instead, they have a prepared plan, built on small, well-executed actions.

The uppercut represents a size-up, while the jab signifies a size-down

The jab is small and unlikely to end the fight, but repeated throws keep you covered and control the pace. Repetition is key to success.

The uppercut, on the other hand, can end the fight in one shot. However, delivering it requires dropping your guard, and a miss leaves you vulnerable.  By reaching for the big shot every time, you risk getting caught. Trading is similar and the goal is to avoid unnecessary risk

Master the jab and the art of sizing down.

"I'm not here to tell you what to do. This is what I've seen and lived in my own trading.Size your lot by what you're willing to lose. Then size up everything else.

The work. The research. The knowledge. The resources. The people around you. Know what you're walking into before the week starts.

That habit doesn't stay on the charts. It follows you everywhere

The difference between success and failure is never that someone is better than you. It's how far you're willing to go"
